Hrebienok ( 258 m.n.m.)
From the hotel, you will move to Starý Smokovec (6 km), where you can choose a comfortable transport by land cable car or a pleasant walk along the track (2.9 km) to Hrebienok. From this place, you are within walking distance of Bilík´s cottage (10 min), Rainer’s cozy cottage (25 min), or Zamkovsky´s cottage (1 hour) or Téry’s cottage (3 hours).
Cottage under the Skalnate pleso (1751 m.n.m.)
A moderately difficult half-day hike from the hotel to the Rocky cottage will be a pleasant addition to your stay. A short walk from the hotel to Tatranská Lomnica (2 km) takes you to the cable car. For greater convenience, you can complete one journey by cable car directly to Skalnate pleso and return on foot (2.45 hours). Ladislav Kulanga is currently the owner of the lodge, who is also a porter and has several unbeaten records for carrying goods.
Boating on Štrbské pleso
Boating at an altitude of 1345 m has more than 130 years of history. The lake belongs to the 5th degree of protection. From the pond, you can enjoy views of the majestic peaks of Solisko and the jumping bridges from which bungee jumping is performed. It is open daily from 1.6.-30.9, from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. with the last sailing at 5 p.m
TANAP Museum and Ski Museum
Both museums are located in Tatranská Lomnica.
The collections of the TANAP museum contain many objects from the fields of botany, zoology, history, cartography, geology and ethnography.
TANAP Museum opening hours: October-April:
Mon-Fri 8:30-12:00, 13:00-16:00
May-September: Mon-Sun 8:30-12:00, 13:00-17:00
The Ski Museum exhibition will guide you through winter sports that have been in the High Tatras since the beginning.
